“From the Ancestry of M.A.Sholokhov”
21.04.2015This was the topic of the class given for the students of the Vyoshenskaya secondary school at the Memorial Estate of M.A.Sholokhov.
The Museum employees told about the Sholokhovs’ ancestry originating from Zaraisk the Ryazan Region. In 1852, the writer’s grandfather, a third guild merchant, M.M.Sholokhov, moved to the Don. The first Sholokhovs were gunners, then, several decades later they completely assimilated with the burger class.
The children with interest examined the Sholokhovs’ family tree made by V.I.Polyanchev, Zaraisk ethnographer, Honoured Worker of Culture of Russia, based on the study of the great number of the old handwritten documents.
Having studied in the ancestry of M.A.Sholokhov the children answered the quiz questions and got their home assignment to make their family trees.
