The Exhibition Dedicated to the 110th Anniversary of M.A.Sholokhov is Opened in Stavropol
30.03.2015On March, 27, the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov opened its exhibition “In the Land Where the Don Swashes” at the Stavropol Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of M.A.Sholokhov; it is a joint project of the Stavropol Branch of the Moscow State M.A.Sholokhov Humanitarian University and the Museum of Fine Arts in the frames of the Year of Literature.
The exhibition will show the paintings by R.G.Maksyutov, the People’s Artist of Russia, “Winter in Vyoshenskaya” and a series of graphic works of the Rostov artist A.P.Kovalyov “Expanses of Vyoshenskaya” from the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts and the works devoted to Sholokhov sights by the university teachers A.Gaidenko, M.Korolevsky, V.Porubayeva, A.Lushina and Y.Kuznetsova, pictures by the Don artists, which were presented to the University by the Museum-Reserve, Cossack dresses made by the University students.
The exhibition is complemented by photos telling about the life and work of the writer, which were presented by the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov, the books of the writer’s collected works, editions and monographs, “Sholokhov Encyclopedia”, “Dictionary of the Language of Mikhail Sholokhov” and others.
