The exhibition is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of M.A.Sholokhov and the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. On the first day, the exhibition was attended by schoolchildren, teachers and the art school students of Gukovo. The photographs, books and documents shown at the exhibition tell about the life and art of M.A.Sholokhov. The copies of manuscripts “They Fought for Their Country”, “The Fate of a Man” and other exhibits of the war period in the writer’s life aroused the most interest. There are works of the well-known artists-illustrators Orest Vereisky, Yury Rebrov, Valentina and Leonid Petrov, and Kukryniksy, who depicted the scenes from “The Fate of a Man” and ”They Fought for Their Country”. The exhibition “To Serve People with Writing…” will run in Gukovo until March, 10, 2015.
