Museum of M.A.Sholokhov Joined the “Culture Ecology” Festival

The Year of Culture in the Don region ended with the festival “Culture Ecology”, which was held on December, 2–26, in Rostov-on-Don, at the South Federal University.

The festival was joined by the representatives of the scientific community of specialists on the problem of cultural heritage, musicians, librarians, theatre and museum workers and university students.

The workers of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve presented a cultural and educational space in several gaming units, where children and young people learned about the traditional culture and occupations of Don Cossacks, secrets of making candlesticks of clay, fun-dolls of fabric, toy horses of bast and decorations of felt, learned to make a layout of the oven, to decorate windows with patterned sandriks, to make sand pictures on glass.

For the younger generation it was a kind of travelling to the past, where everyone could realize his creative ideas.
