New Year Holidays in Sholokhov Museum

Many interesting and fascinating events will take place in the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov on the New Year and Christmas holidays.

All the exhibitions have a usual run during the holidays. December, 31, and January, 1, are days off.

Young residents of the stanitsa will see a magic performance “Father Frost and a Magic Mirror”. The children will be to help Father Frost and Snow Girl in conquering the forces of evil.

The excursions in the Memorial House in the Estate of M.A.Sholokhov will be supplemented with a new topic “New Year Party for Children in the Sholokhovs’ House”. The visitors will learn about the New Year parties, which were held for children in the Sholokhovs’ family.

The children will join the interactive classes and learn about the traditions of the New Year holidays, about the New Year parties held in the Sholokhovs’ family and how the children, their guests, were entertained with tasty treats, merry competitions and lottery. Each member of the class will receive a New Year toy and a souvenir made by him.

The tourists will be offered an entertaining and informative program with Father Frost and Snow Girl. They will tour about the exhibitions of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov, about the Cossack remote places, Kruzhilin Village, they will visit the Stables and learn about the traditions of the Don horse breeding, taste dishes after the recipes of the Sholokhovs’ family, will hear Cossack songs and take part in classes on making Don souvenirs. The residents and guests of Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya will enjoy riding in horse-drawn carriages.
