“New Year Party for Children in the Sholokhovs’ House”
22.12.2015During the New Year holidays, the excursions in the Memorial Estate of M.A.Sholokhov will be supplemented with a new theme: “New Year Party for Children in the Sholokhovs’ House”.
The visitors will learn about the New Year parties held for children in the family of the Sholokhovs. Such holidays were also held in their prewar house, and after the Great Patriotic war. Mariya Petrovna and Mikhail Alexandrovich followed the tradition until the younger children – Misha and Masha – had grown up. The family prepared for the holiday in advance, and Mikhail Alexandrovich took an active part in the preparations. Many children were invited for the New Year party. Mariya Petrovna entertained the children with tea and cakes. The boys and girls sang songs, danced, played a fun lottery and all of them got presents.
The young visitors will be offered to guess New Year riddles, made up by Mikhail Alexandrovich in the 1930-s.
During the excursions the children will hear the memories of Sholokhov children, E.P.Lugovoy and T.V.Tsokur, who took part in the New Year parties in the house of the writer.
