NewsM.A.Sholokhov: “My Dear and Sweet!”30.10.2015At the All-Russian contest “Patriot of Russia” for the best mass media coverage of the patriotic education theme, the film “My Dear and Sweet!” of the State TV and Radio Company “Don-TR” (by L.Surkova and L.Rublyovskaya) won the Third Place in the nomination “My Russia”. “Almost a private story” from the life of M.A.Sholokhov appeared before the audience. Even in the family of Mikhail Alexandrovich nobody knew that Mariya Petrovna preserved her husband’s letters written in the 20-s, when the world for the first time heard about his great novel “And Quiet Flows the Don”. Only before her death she opened her small secret. During the film the writer’s children read and comment on the warm lines of his letters. “The film is entitled so, because the writer’s letters to his wife began with these words. Note, please, the whole film through, a blacksmith is forging something, but actually it is Sholokhov’s life, his character that is being forged, and at the end a rose appears from under the hammer. In Vyoshenskaya there are two monuments – to Sholokhov and to his wife; on the grey one there is a rose, because he had been presenting roses to his wife for the whole life”,– said Lyubov Surkova, a journalist for the TV and Radio company “Don-TR”, Honoured Worker of Culture of Russia. The film is based on the materials of the video archives of the State TV and Radio company “Don-TR”, private archives of the Sholokhovs family and those of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve. The All-Russian contest “Patriot of Russia” for the best mass media coverage of the theme of patriotic education is held annually by the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Media joined with the RF Ministry of Defence and the Russian State Military Historical and Cultural Centre of the RF Government. The final stage was entered by 1584 journalist works from 502 mass media from 69 subjects of the Russian Federation. For the first time the contest was submitted works from the USA and Germany.
