At “Felitsyn Readings-XVII” in Krasnodar

Late in October, an interregional scientific and practical conference “Felitsyn Readings-XVII” took place in the Krasnodar State I.D.Felitsyn Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve. It was joined by the workers of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov.

The talk “The Theme of the Great Patriotic War in Educational Programs of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov” told the conference members about the forms of the work on moral and patriotic education of children and youth. It is realized in the Museum-Reserve through permanent displays and visiting exhibitions devoted to the Great Patriotic War, virtual thematic contests on the war biography of M.A.Sholokhov, long-term actions on the materials of school local museums, literary and folklore holidays devoted to the war and postwar periods, cooperation with museums, theatres and educational institutions. These interactive forms of the museum work make a system of patriotic education of the younger generation.

Besides the plenary sessions the members of the “Felitsyn Readings” attended the exhibitions “The Great War, the Forgotten War”, “Kuban in the Years of the Great Patriotic War”, visited the Krasnodar F.A.Kovalenko Regional Museum of Art and the Stepanovs’ Museum in Timashevsk.
