Classes for Schoolchildren at the Exhibition “A.S.Pushkin. The Life and Lyre”

26.10.2015

For centuries letters have been one of the main ways of communication between people. In the XVIII–XIX centuries letters became a part of noble life and culture, an everyday necessity of the Russian society. Literary scholars, critics, scientists communicated with each other through letters. In letters they presented their ideas, wrote about their lives. Many letters have been preserved by now to become original documents of the era.

At the interactive lesson “Letters from the Past” schoolchildren learn about the rules and requirements of writing letters. The children can write letters according to the rules of correspondence of the XVIII–XIX centuries: with a metal pen and ink on the ornamented paper. The privacy will be maintained with a wax seal.

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov invites young visitors to Sholokhov Centre to get into the world of Pushkin’s era and to feel like real literary scholars.
