News“Sholokhov Spring” and “Kruzhilin Toloki” are the Best Tourist Events of the South of Russia!05.10.2015On October, 2, the Final of the regional contest for the National Award in the event tourism “Russian Event Awards” of the Southern, North-Caucasian and Crimean federal regions took place in Rostov-on-Don. 55 projects from 37 localities representing 11 regions of Russia were submitted for the contest. The jury consisting of the event tour industry professionals selected eight best projects for further participation in the All-Russian Final of the National Award. The Museum-Reserve entered for the contest with two projects – the All-Russian literary and folk festival “Sholokhov Spring” and the literary and ethnographic festival “Kruzhilin Toloki”. There were presented photo and video materials, the history of each of the festivals, their features and social significance. According to the results of the regional contest the festival “Sholokhov Spring” won the first place in the nomination “The Best Event in Culture” and the festival “Kruzhilin Toloki” won the first place in the nomination “The Best Events in Promoting Folk Crafts”. The Final of the National Award in event tourism “Russian Event Awards” of 2015, which will take place on October, 21–22, in Kazan, will be entered by 117 projects from 45 regions. In all, 688 projects from 353 localities of 69 regions of the country were submitted for the contest. The National Award “Russian Event Awards” was established in 2015 as an industry award to be given on the basis of an open competition for the achievements in the field of the event tourism development industry and is held under the support of the Federal Tourism Agency.
