Open Lesson: “The Heart of the Writer…”

21.09.2015

On September, 18, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference, Irina Mineralova, professor of the Moscow Pedagogical University, gave an open lesson in the system “We Write Compositions Together” in the Sholokhov school of Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya. The lesson was devoted to the works of Mikhail Alexandrovich Sholokhov.

For the senior students the work was both usual and unusual. They have been training in writing compositions for the whole school course. But it was for the first time when the teacher led them making up the tissue of their future composition simultaneously teaching them the logic of the text and writing unconventional phrases thus promoting the development of their thoughts. It was new for the children and appeared to be interesting and easy, as they said. The suggested headline “The Heart of the Writer…” was to be completed according to the text of the compositions written by each of the students.

After the lesson she spoke about her system “We Write Compositions Together”, gave her methodic recommendations, commented on her work and finally presented her methodological developments on the subject to the philology teachers of the Sholokhov District.

Besides lecturing at the university and carrying out her research I.G.Mineralova systematically works with children at school. She gives lessons to the pupils of 5–11 forms in three innovation areas. One of the areas is in Pereslavl-Zalessky, where the teacher worked out a literature program for the Orthodox school. As well, the teacher carries out her museum work, which is connected with this town locating over 30 museums.
