The Winners in Cossack Sabre Hacking Championship
18.08.2015The workers of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the VIII Open Championship on Cossack Sabre Hacking “Stepnaya Kazarla” in the frames of the National Cossack Games “Stepnoy Sokol” (Steppe Falcon).
The championship took place on August, 16, in the Oktyabr rural district, the Rostov Region. The organizer was the village Cossack society “Starokovylnoye” of the First Don Okrug of the Great Don Army.
The first performance of the Museum Cossacks at the literary and ethnographic festival “Steed is the Dearest for Cossack” was a success: Nazar Shumilin won the first place in slashing rods under hat, and Yan Lyubomirov took the first place in hacking with two sabres and the third place in hacking rods in bunches.
The winners are awarded “Baklanov Sabres” and are invited to join the Cup of Champions.
