“Intermuseum-2015” Festival is Over

The “Intermuseum-2015” Festival, which took place in Moscow, on June, 11–15, in the Central Exhibition Hall “Manezh”, has completed its work. In one area more than 270 museums of Russia, near foreign counties and Europe presented their exhibitions.

The pavilion of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov, which was constructed in the form of a Cossack kuren (house), attracted a lot of festival members and guests. Everyone could learn the traditional methods of the Upper Don Cossack management: to learn how to make a rope on the prosak and grind grain by a hand mill.

The Festival was purposed not only for the professional museum community. For Moscovites and guests of the capital there was provided an exhibitional, children’s play area and a “Museum Shop”, embracing souvenirs and editions of all the “Intermuseum-2015” members.

The guests were offered a big program including numerous lectures, discussions, round table talks and special children programs. Both the museum professionals and wide public could learn here new things, have talks and exchange their experience.
