Sholokhov Museum at the “Intermuseum” Festival Welcomes Its Guests.

Before the official opening of the International Museum Festival “Intermuseum-2015”, the pavilion of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov was visited by Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the Russian Federation Government; Olga Golodets, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Government; Vladimir Tolstoy, Adviser to the President; Vladimir Medinsky, Minister of Culture; Victor Bryzgalov, Director of the Department for Cultural Heritage of the RF Ministry of Culture.

The guests viewed the Museum exhibition constructed in the form of a Cossack kuren (a house), learned about the traditional farming of the Upper Don Cossacks: they tried to twist a rope on the prosak and grind grain by a hand mill.

The festival held in Moscow, in the Central Exhibition Hall “Manezh”, will hold over 100 different events: lectures, talks, discussions, presentations, master-classes and an exhibition “Technomuseum”, which will present a technological innovation in the industry. Sholokhov Museum will take part in the business program and will show new projects for keeping, studying and spreading the new literary heritage of the great Russian writer and of Cossack traditions.
