The Student “Rainbow of Colours” in Sholokhov Museum

An exhibition “Rainbow of Colours” will open in the Exhibition and Excursion Centre “The People’s House” on August, 12. It will display design works of the students of the Stavropol branch of the Moscow M.Sholokhov State Humanitarian University.

The visitors will see the works of the fashion theatre creative group “Style” – the costumes of “Moon”, “Sun”, “Venus”, “Mars”, “Earth” from the collection ‘Space” and the costumes “Spoons”, “Balalaikas” and “Carousels” from the collection “Musical Russia”. The guests will learn how the costumes were created, follow their designing process from the idea to the stage demonstration and learn about different needlework techniques: batik, ribbon embroidery, appliqué and others.

The student fashion theatre “Style” was organized in 2006. Its leader is Svetlana Syromyatnikova, Honorary Worker of General Education of the Russian Federation, who guided the creation of 12 collections. The fashion theatre “Style” is the winner of the all-Russian and international competitions and festivals.

The exhibition will run until November, 23, 2014.
