Open Day in Sholokhov Museum

The Open Day in the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov is held on May, 18, the International Museum Day.

The topic of the day ”Museum Collections Unite People” is to show that museums help to forge and strengthen the spiritual connection between people, generations and different cultures in the wide world. This connection helps our present and future to better understand our history.

Visiting the Museum exhibitions the guests will learn a lot of interesting things about the life and work of Mikhail Alexandrovich Sholokhov, the contribution of the writer into the world literature and development of his home country. The visitors will also learn about the Don Cossack history, the life of Don Cossacks early in the XX century and will go by the roads of Sholokhov’s personages.

We remind you that on the International Museum Day all the permanent exhibitions of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov and the exhibitions presented by the best museums of Russia in “the People’s House” will be open for free visiting.
