Sholokhov Museum Presents Its Exhibition at the Arctic Cultural Forum

On April, 2–5, in Salekhard, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area, an exhibition “The Word and Glory of Russia”, presented by the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve at the Arctic cultural forum “Culture as a Strategic Resource for the Development of Modern Society” will be held within the frames of the Year of Culture in the Russian Federation.

The forum will be the major project to be joined by the prominent figures of culture and art of Moscow and regions of Russia, Arctic countries, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Culture, leading specialists in all areas of cultural activity. The forum is expected to embrace over 400 people, to hold presentations, public lectures, discussions, round table talks on current issues, concerts of masters of arts and theatrical meetings.

The Museum of M.A.Sholokhov will show its exhibition at the section “Museums of the XXI Century: from Cooperation to Co-creation”. The exhibition embracing more than 300 unique pieces from the Museum collection stores will tell the residents and guests of Salekhard a lot about the great Russian writer, the significance of Sholokhov’s literary heritage for Russia and the world, about the history and traditions of Cossacks and will show the beauty of the Don country to the visitors.
