The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov is a Diploma Winner of the International Project

The National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve took part in the International Project “Ecological Culture. Peace and Harmony” established by the Non-Governmental V.I.Vernadsky Environmental Fund and the International Environmental Public Organization “Greenlight” with the support of the Federation Council and the State Duma of Russia.

The Project realization was aimed at identification and promotion of the projects, developments and ideas which can be practically used in the formation and development of the environmental awareness of the population of the Russian Federation.

The International Project of seven nominations was joined by 283 organizations. One of the most extensive nominations was “Environmental Education” numbering 139 participants. Among them was the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve which submitted its project “Museum-Reserve as an Institution of the Environmental Education and Awareness”. It summarizes the work of the Museum on environmental education in several population groups simultaneously: from preschool children to applicants of academic degrees. The environmental education activities are purposed to bringing up a caring attitude to nature, a sense of responsibility for the environment condition, to raising the ecological awareness and culture. The participation of the Museum-Reserve in the International Project “Peace and Harmony” was marked by the Diploma.
