Round Table Talk in the Museum-Reserve of S.A.Yesenin

The workers of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the round table talk “Protection of Cultural and Natural Heritage: Contemporary Problems and Their Solutions”, which was held on July, 28, in the scientific and cultural centre of the State S.A.Yesenin Museum-Reserve.

The audience was greeted by the Director of the S.A.Yesenin Museum-Reserve, Zh.V.Nikonova, and the Head of the Department of Accounting and Use of Cultural Heritage of the Ryazan Regional Ministry of Culture and Tourism, N.Y.Goncharova.

 The speakers presented the scientific works and their practical use in the areas of the museum-reserves and cherished natural zones; they discussed topical problems on protection, use and promotion of cultural and natural heritage, public environmental education and awareness, issues of law on the protection of cultural and natural heritage, the prospects for the eco-tourism development.

The workers of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov made presentations: “Forest Fund of the Protected Natural Landscape Area of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve” (S.Sivtsov) and “Museum-Reserve as an Institution of Public Environmental Education and Awareness” (M.Sychova).

The talks were joined by the Museum-Reserve of S.A.Yesenin, National Park “Meshchersky”, Eco-Centre “Zapovedniki”, N.A.Nekrasov Literary and Memorial Museum-Reserve “Karabikha”, the Omsk State Museum-Reserve “Abramtsevo”, the Ryazan S.A.Yesenin State University, Scientific and Memorial Museum of Professor N.E.Zhukovsky.

The members of the forum were invited to the opening of a new route, a nature trail, developed by the Museum-Reserve of S.A.Yesenin, excursions about the museum, the Yesenins’ Estate, the museum of the poem “Anna Sneghina” and an old village school. The guests were entertained with Konstantinov tea and a fine performance of the singing and instrumental group “Radunitsa”.
