“Sholokhov’s Source” in Sholokhov Museum

The first round of the XIV rally of the children and youth ecological movement “Sholokhov’s Source” which was participated by 15 teams from the Rostov Region, Daghestan and Ukrain, took place on April, 12, in the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov.

The young ecologists were welcomed by the Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region, the Minister of Agriculture and Food,V.N.Vasilenko, and Director of the National  M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve, A.M.Sholokhov.

The winners of the absentee contest of research papers themed “Unique Forests” took part in the rally. The children introduced business cards of their teams, made presentations of their research work and answered the questions of the environmental quiz.

The photo contest “Unique Trees of the Native Land” was interesting and informative. The young photographers were a success in expressing their feelings, ideas and attitude to the environment by means of photography.

The children took part in the Arbor Day celebration. Finally all the teams were praised by the director of the Museum-Reserve for taking part in the first round of the XIV rally of the children and youth ecological movement “Sholokhov’s Source”.

The best research papers of the young ecologists will be published in the book   of collected papers “Sholokhov Geography: From the Source to the Nobel   Triumph”, which is dedicated to the 15^th anniversary of the “Sholokhov’s Source” movement.
