Sholokhov Museum Exhibition in Shanghai

The National M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve presented its tourist programs at the China International Travel Mart (CITM) held on November, 15 – 18, in Shanghai, an economic centre of China.
The CITM exhibition is a major event in the sphere of tourism. It is held annually, and this year it became a final chord of the Year of Russian Tourism in China and a link with 2013 – the Year of Chinese Tourism in Russia.
Russia was an honorary guest of the exhibition. Among the members there are over ten regions including Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, the Altai and Krasnodar territories, the Yaroslavl and Kaliningrad regions. The Rostov region was represented by the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve.
The Chinese people know and love the works of the great Russian writer Mikhail Sholokhov, they want to see the Cossack country, the Quiet Don, vast steppes, villages and stanitsas, where Sholokhov’s personages lived. The visitors of China and other foreign countries got interested in the tourist itineraries including those of ”Silver Horseshoe of the Don” providing a stay in Sholokhov country. The tour programs, booklets in English and Chinese proposed by the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov at the Shanghai exhibition were in great demand.
Joining the China International Travel Mart the Museum-Reserve gained another opportunity to show its tourist potential of the “Open Air Novel” and invite foreign tourists to the country of the Quiet Don.
