News“The Age of Alexander I. Music and Time”15.11.2012This was the theme of the historical and musical performance, which became the final chord of the exhibition “Emperor Alexander I. The Reign, Which Ended in Taganrog” from the collection of the State Literary and Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve. The exposition presenting a rich historical material told about one of the most important periods in the history of Taganrog and was dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the victory of Russia in the Patriotic War of 1812. A.M.Sholokhov, director of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve, thanked the colleagues from the Taganrog State Literary and Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve for the wonderful exhibition, which was a great success with the visitors. The director of the Taganrog Museum-Reserve E.V.Lipovenko and the head of the ethnographic department G.A.Krupnitskaya donated an original photo of “M.A.Sholokhov at the Meeting with the People of Taganrog.1958.” to the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. The historical and musical performance ”The Age of Alexander I. Music and Time” was a special gift for true lovers of good music. The leader of the concert, A.Tsymbal, told about the most interesting episodes of the heroic age, about the life and death of Emperor Alexander I. The Taganrog municipal chamber orchestra directed by A.Gurevich performed the music works of Mozart, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Maler and other composers.
