Now the Taganrog Museum laid out an exhibition from its rich collection devoted to the 200th  anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic war of 1812 and also to the interesting and mysterious events connected with  the stay of Emperor Alexander I in Taganrog.

The visitors will see autographs of Alexander I, documents of the first quarter of the XIX century, unique engravings and lithography, portraits of the people of that time. The viewers will be particularly attracted by the collection of arms of the XVIII – XIX centuries, award and commemorative medals of the war of 1812.

The exhibition project of the two museums will continue. Next year an exhibition devoted to the live and work of A.P. Chekhov is going to open in Vyoshenskaya, which will signify new personal and creative features of the two world known writers.

The exhibition is open till October, 15, 2012.
