News“Sholokhov Spring” Welcomes to Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya05.05.2012An all-Russian literary-folklore festivityof “Sholokhov Spring” devoted to the 107th anniversary of the great Russian writer M.A. Sholokhov will be held on May, 25-26, in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya. The tenor of this year celebration will be the 75th jubilee of the Rostov Region. According to the tradition the festivity will be joined by the folk song groups from the Rostov, Volgograd, Voronezh, Krasnodar and Stavropol regions, the North Ossetian Republic and other regions of Russia, and from Ukrain and Kazakhstan. This year Byelorussian performers are coming for the first time. The stage for the Don gala concert will be a double size, constructed completely on the water surface. The festivity will include a football match joined by the veteran athletes, sport aviation and a powerboat show. The Museum-Reserve of M.A. Sholokhov will realize a children’s interactive program devoted to the 70th anniversary of liberation of the Upper Don from the German fascist invaders. The guests will be welcomed to visit the unique expositions of the National Sholokhov Museum-Reserve. A new exhibition “Fairy Tales by A.S. Pushkin” presented by the State Pushkin Museum will be opened in the Excursion-Exhibition Centre “The People’s House”. The festive program will traditionally include a children’s folklore performance “Vyoshenskiye Vesnushki” and a market of arts and crafts. The numerous guests of the “Sholokhov Spring” will see a theatrical wake-up call, opening ceremony, performances of the best folk groups of Russia and nearest foreign countries, a gala concert on the bank of the River Don, a firework, and will take part in the public entertainment and disco.
