“My Darling…”

This is the title of the exhibition opened on February,8, in the sitting-room of the Memorial House-Museum of M.A.Sholokhov. The exposition is devoted to the writer’s wife Mariya Petrovna Sholokhova.
It was a big luck of earth for Mikhail Alexandrovich to meet a wonderful, unique woman, Mariya Petrovna Gromoslavskaya, who can’t be spoken about without admiration.
It is difficult to be a wife of a great man. They, as a sage believed, also deserve monuments to be erected. Mariya Petrovna was a genuine keeper of the family hearth, customs and traditions. All her time, ideas and heart were completely devoted to the dearest people of hers, to her children and husband. She was beside him through all her long 60-year life, a beloved wife, devoted friend, assistant and advisor of M.A.Sholokhov, his intelligent, tactful and careful friend, who experienced not only bright days, but also days of trouble, which the great writer had a lot.
The exhibition will display photos, documents, personal belongings of Mariya Petrovna from the archives of the Sholokhovs family.
