A New Look at the Museum Collection

A new exhibition “An Exhibit Brought into Focus. Life of the Museum Collection” is going to be opened before the Day of Knowledge in the Museum-Reserve of M.A. Sholokhov.

The visitors will see the museum objects in a new aspect: they will learn about keeping, restoring the objects, about laying out exhibitions and about the countries the exhibits travelled to.

There are museum objects which entered into the collection in different ways (whether were acquired, found, presented), each of them has its destiny and each can be told about by the curators and expositioners significantly, in detail and with great interest.

The exhibition is a small part of the immense museum collection. Nevertheless, it gives an idea of the great work of the museum-workers, which is connected in this or that way with a museum object.
