“Zarnitsa” at the Festival “Khotmyzh Autumn”
19.09.2011A folklore group “Zarnitsa” and masters of the decorative and applied art of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve took part in the holiday program of the VIII International Festival of the Slav culture “Khotmyzh Autumn” held on September, 18, in the Belgorod Region. It was devoted to the 100th anniversary of canonization of Saint Ioasaf Belgorodskiy.
The festival was joined by a number of folk groups from Byelorussia, Ukrain and Russia. En exhibition of arts and crafts of the folk masters and artists was held.
“Zarnitsa” performed in the festival concert “Once on the Land of Russia”. The audience applauded heartily for the Cossack songs.
The People’s folklore group “Zarnitsa” and masters of decorative and applied art D. Vostrikov and A. Frolov were awarded diplomas and presents.
The Festival “Khotmyzh Autumn” showed the intention of the brotherly peoples to keep friendship, consolidate cultural relations between the Slav states.
