M.A. Sholokhov is the Cavalier of the Order “The Pride of Russia”

The Museum-Reserve holding keeps a decoration of M.A. Sholokhov, the Order “The Pride of Russia”, which he was awarded posthumously, in 2008, “for invaluable contribution into development of the great Russian literature, his love for the Country, humanism, creation of immortal spiritual, moral works, genuine service for people”.

The Order was founded in 2005 by the Charity Fund “the Pride of the Country” which activity is supposed for developing social initiative, revival of the best national spiritual and moral traditions, formation of the civil society in our country.

“The Pride of Russia” is the highest social award of the Russian Federation. It is presented by the Charity Fund under a support of the Club of the Heroes of the Soviet Union, the Heroes of the Russian Federation, complete Cavaliers of “the Order of Glory” of Moscow and the Moscow Region and the International Academy of the Spiritual Unity of the Peoples of the World.

The award comprises:

- the Order of the highest social award “The Pride of the Country”;
- a certificate about the award – a rewarding board with a picture of the Order “The Pride of Russia”;
- a symbol of the reward “for the buttonhole” for permanent wear;
- the right to employ the image of the Order “The Pride of Russia” in the enterprise activity in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation about employing trademarks.

The Order “The Pride of Russia” is honourably given to genuine patriots of the country, who made a significant contribution into spiritual, cultural, scientific, economic development and prosperity of our Country, its grandeur and glory. Among the cavaliers of the Order “The Pride of Russia”, there are Yuriy Alexeyevich Gagarin, Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov, Valentina Vladimirovna Tereshkova, Leonid Mikhailovich Roshal.
