An Expedition of the Young Learners of Literature

The Museum-Reserve of M.A. Sholokhov was visited by a group of the Don Real school from Rostov-on-Don. For five years already during the summer holidays the boys and girls have been going on a literary expedition to the native land of Sholokhov. In Vyoshenskaya they collect materials, then they present them at the district, town and regional conferences devoted to the life and work of M.A. Sholokhov.

Thus, in 2009, at the scientific-practical conference of the Don Academy of Sciences of the young researchers the work of  Lena Shipitsyna “The Nature in the Work of Sholokhov” won the first place. Alina Sinar won at the district student conference giving the talk “M. Sholokhov and Children”.

In 2008, at the conference of the Don Academy of Sciences of the young researchers the prize-winners were Ira Romashko, Tanya Osipova and Yana Edush who gave their talks on the creative work of M.A. Sholokhov.

The young learners of literature were attracted by the museum expositions, they visited the exhibition “The Time of Victories” at the Excursion-Exhibition Centre “The People’s House”. Leaving Vyoshenskaya, the schoolchildren wrote in the Guest Book: “We have learned about the places where the writer lived and created, as well as about the people that are similar to the personages of his books. Each time visiting the stanitsa it attracts us more and more.
