In Honour of the Great Countryman
21.02.2010The 21 of February is the Memorial Day of Mikhail Alexandrovich Sholokhov. On that day and before it in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya from the early morning the countrymen, admirers of the writer’s work visited the monument and the tomb of M.A. Sholokhov in order to put flowers and pay honours for the great countryman.
M.A. Sholokhov deceased on February, 21, 1984, but his books still warm the hearts and souls of those for whom he lived and created. Before the Memorial Day in the libraries, schools, Houses of Culture of the Rostov Region Sholokhov readings, meetings with the Don writers and researchers of Sholokhov’s work took place.
