Invitation for the IV Scientific-Practical Conference “Museum-Reserve: Ecology and Culture”

Held under the theme “Museum-Reserve: Ecology and Culture” the IV Scientific-Practical conference, organized by the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve jointly with the Committee on the Environment Protection and Natural Resources of the Rostov Region Administration and the Russian Scientific Research Institute of the Cultural and Natural Heritage named after D.S. Likhachov will take place in September, 2010.

The main subjects and points of the conference:

• Museumfication and problems of preserving the objects of the historic and cultural heritage: the unique natural complexes and landscapes, memorials, ensembles, places of sights.
• Environment monitoring on the territory of the museum-reserves, national parks and other cherished areas.
• Improving the approaches to keeping “The Red Book”.
• Ecological education in the museum-reserves, educational institutions and national parks.
• Garden and park construction and landscape design.
• The image of nature in the Russian literature.
• Cultural-ecological and ethnographic tourism: formation, problems and prospects of development.

We invite the specialists of museum-reserves, national parks and other scientific institutions and offices connected with the study and complex preservation of the cultural and natural heritage, to take part in the conference.

The participants of the conference are to send to the Organizing Committee before March, 30, 2010:
- the application for participation (the application form);
- the text of the paper for publication (according to the requirements).

The application must contain a name, a surname (completely), a scientific degree and title, place of job, correspondence address (better with e-mail), contact telephone/fax number, the topic of the paper (talk).

The form of application.

A collection of materials of the IV Scientific-Practical Conference “Museum-Reserve: Ecology and Culture” is supposed to be published before the beginning of the conference. You can apply on the questions of placing the text of the paper in the book and publication requirements to the Organizing Committee. The texts of the papers are to be sent on electronic media by e-mail: likhov-tatyana@yandex.ru; landshaft@veshki.donpac.ru.
