NewsThe Sholokhov Museum Workers at the Bard Song Festival07.06.2010The workers of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve Alexey Vorobiyov, Alexander Chukarin and Serghey Gribanov became laureates of the 27th Regional Bard Song Festival, which took place on June, 5, in Rostov-on Don in the club of tourists and mountaineers “Planeta”. The jury admitted the Sholokhov Museum group to be “the best group” of the festival, and the song “We are Cossacks” (the author is S. Gribanov) – to be “the best song about the native land”. The co-chairman of the regional Bard Song Council Igor Kozlov handed in the diplomas and a set of books on the Russian poetry classics. The next day the laureates visited the museum of tourism and mountaineering in the “Planeta” club and performed in the art-café their favourite songs for the festival hosts and participants. The festival bearing a poetic name “Till the Third Cock-Grow” is the oldest Rostov and one of the oldest in the South region. Annually, at the night before the first June Saturday it gathers on the glade near the “Planeta” thousands of amateurs and masters of the bard song. O. Bakhtiyarova |
