The Museum Fund Classes for Schoolchildren

At the Museum-Reserve of M.A. Sholokhov a cycle of classes for the 5-form schoolchildren of Vyoshenskaya secondary school is conducted to get them acquainted with registration and keeping the museum objects.

At the first lesson the museum-workers of the registration sector told about the history of the Museum foundation, about the up-to-date stage of its development, showed the functional peculiarities of the Scientific and Fund department.

The children tried the job of scientific workers: they learned haw to distribute the objects among the funds of keeping, checked up the correctness of filling in the documents of a conventional exhibition. To assimilate the knowledge acquired they solved a crossword puzzle comprising the main terms used in the work of the department.

The classes help the children to form a complete idea of the peculiarities in the work of the Museum-Reserve, of its funds, people, who help to carry out the main task of any museum: collection, keeping, study and exposition of the exhibits.

We hope that having learned about the important and interesting work of the museum curators, someone attending the classes, will come to work at the Museum-Reserve of M.A. Sholokhov.
