The Museum Invites for Visiting
03.06.2010The State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve is active in developing its tourist activity with a special aspect of organizing tours for schoolchildren. The museum workers show the memorial sites and natural places of interest in Sholokhov country for children as well as organize tours to the cultural centres of Russia.
Recently the schoolchildren and students of the Teacher Training College visited Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, Azov, Volgograd, several groups visited Saint-Petersburg. During one of the tours around Rostov-on-Don, at the embankment, the children met their favourite personages of Sholokhov’s works – Ded Shchukar and Nakhalyonok (“bastard”).
The Museum excursion department develops tours for children to Moscow and Podmoskoviye, around the “Golden Ring” cities, to the museum-reserves of Yasnaya Polyana of L.N. Tolstoy, Spasskoye-Lutovinovo of I.S. Turghenev, Mikhailovskoye of A.S. Pushkin, Tarkhany of M.Y. Lermontov.
The tours organized by the Museum include visiting museums, theatres, zoo, circus, pleasure boating.
