NewsHouse-Museum of the Writer on Holidays05.06.2009On holidays of “Sholokhov Spring – 2009” the House-Museum of M.A. Sholokhov was visited by nearly 2.500 people. Among the guests there was Pavel Eugeniyevich Polunin, who had acted the part of Vanyushka in the film of Serghey Bondarchuk after the story by M.A. Sholokhov “The Fate of a Man”, which had gained love and sympathy of the Soviet and foreign viewers. This year it was the 50th anniversary of the film run. Having visited the House-Museum of the writer, Pavel Eugeniyevich shared his recollections with the museum-workers about shooting the film, which had taken place on the Sholokhov land, told about his life following the film shooting. The Memorial House was also visited by M.Y. Lermontov, a descendant of the Russian poet M.Y. Lermontov, President of the Association “Lermontov Heritage”, a counsellor of the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, the State Duma deputy of the 5th Convocation – the member of the Committee on Culture A.I. Tsaryov, the former chief-editor of the Rostov Region newspaper “Komsomolets”, the author of the book “About the Great Sholokhov: Reflections and Recollections” – A.K. Goncharov, the former First Secretary of the Bokovskiy District Party Committee, who had closely communicated with the writer, numerous amateur performers, schoolchildren from many parts of Russia. Here is one of the opinions left by the visitors of the “Sholokhov Spring - 2009”: “I admire the literary and social work of M.A. Sholokhov. I know Mikhail Alexandrovich personally. For me he is a standard of honesty, diligence, principle position and a deep knowledge of life.
