Special Prize of the Festival “Intermuseum-2009”

The State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve took part in the XI All-Russia Festival “Intermuseum-2009” and was honoured with a Special Prize and Diploma in the nomination of “Museum Project. Innovatory Solution of Traditional Problems” for the project “Visualization of the Cultural Landscape of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve”.

The Festival, organized by the Russian Federation Ministry of Culture and the Union of Museums of Russia in Moscow on May, 28-31, 2009, under the motto “Museum is a Unity of the Unlike”. It was participated by nearly 200 Russian museums, which geography ranges from Kaliningrad up to Sakhalin and from Salekhard up to Vladicaucasus.

Participation in the Festival enables the museums of demonstrating their achievements in different fields of activity and share their experience. Besides, there are the newest developments in the field of the museum equipment and technologies displayed on the stands of the “Expomuseum” exhibition.

The State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve introduced the project in two nominations: besides the one aforementioned, the other was in the nomination “Science in the Museum” on the subject “Investigations in the Cultural Heritage Objects Comprising the Museum”. The projects were defended by the director of the Museum A.M. Sholokhov.

The exposition “Open Air Novel” was introduced as an open book against the background of the Don scenery and attracted a lot of visitors by its original design as well as by fragrant tea from the Don herbs.
