“Zarnitsa” at the Festival of Friendship
19.05.2009On May, 15, 2009 a folklore group “Zarnitsa” of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve took part in the festival of the inter-national friendship “Mir”, which took place at the Stavropol branch of the Moscow State Humanitarian University named after M.A. Sholokhov on the eve of its 10th anniversary and was devoted to the Year of Youth.
During the gala opening of the festival the performance of the “Zarnitsa” was rapturously welcomed by the University students, teachers and guests of the holiday.
The “round-table” talks were devoted to discussing the subjects of preserving cultural traditions of different peoples, careful treatment of the folklore. The same subject was discussed at the press-conference “The State, Problems and Prospects in Developing Youth Policy Potential in the Russian Federation”.
The work was followed by the results elicited and a draft resolution of the festival announced.
On the same day a gala-concert of the young folk groups from different Stavropol Universities was performed, where the group “Zarnitsa” participated as honorary guests.
