To Preserve the Cultural Heritage

The problems of preserving the cultural and historic appearance of the tourist centres were the subject of the regional conference which took place on August, 28, 2009, in the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve. The leader of the conference was the Chief Architect of the Rostov Region A.M. Boyarinov.

The main report (I.V. Korobova, the head of the department of the cultural heritage protection) as well as the supplementary report (M.V. Vlaskin, the Deputy Director of the State Autonomous Office of Culture of the Rostov Region “Donskoye Naslediye” (“The Don Heritage”) were devoted to the problems of preservation of the cultural heritage structures.

This subject was further developed in the interesting reports of the First Deputy Mayor of Taganrog A.F. Kuriyanov, the Deputy Director of  the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve T.P. Gribanova, the Director of the Museum-Reserve “Tanais” V.I. Perevozchikov, the Director of the Azov Museum-Reserve A.A. Gorbenko and others.

To crown their work the conference members adopted a resolution.

The participants of the conference attended the places of sights of the Sholokhov land, the sites of the cultural and historic heritage and tourist display of the Sholokhov District.
