Museum Lessons for Children
16.05.2009The Museum-Reserve fruitfully cooperates with the educational enterprises of the Rostov-Region.
This April, within a special course of “Local Lore Studies” the museum research workers of the Youth Program department held a next visiting session in Rostov-on-Don at the school “Evrika-Razvitiye”.
“Travelling to the Past”, “On a Visit to the Artisans”, “Come to Me, Little Fish” – these are the headings of the lessons, where the Rostov boys and girls were interested to study traditional arts and crafts of the Upper Don Cossacks, tried whickerworking, ceramics, making fishing rods.
In Stanitsa Veshenskaya more than a thousand schoolchildren attended the museum lessons, which were held in the People’s House at the exhibition “Japan, Distant and Near”. The children learned much about the traditions and customs of the Ancient East, about the children holidays in Japan, learned to make origami paper birds.
