26.03.2009

On March, 18-20, 2009 the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve took part in the two great international exhibitions – MITT-2009 “Travelling and Tourism” and “Intourmarket-2009”, which were held in Moscow, in the central exhibition complex “Expo Centre” in Krasnaya Presnya and in the exhibition centre “Crocus Expo”.

For the fourth time the Museum had been the member of these prestigious exhibitions, which aimed at displaying various tour product, practice experience exchange, presenting new tourist itineraries, business meetings of the tour operators. This year the exhibitions were participated by 2500 companies from Russia and many countries of the world.

At the exhibitions our museum-workers presented stand materials about the Museum-Reserve, informed the representatives of the tour companies about different trends of its activity, excursion programs, the current prices, transport infrastructure, museum holidays. A great attraction were the publicity – information materials – a videofilm about the Museum-Reserve, cards, booklets, guide-books in Russian and in English.

The Museum delegation set up new contacts with the big-time Russian and foreign tour operators, among them “Orpheus”, “Saga Voyage”, “Guarant-Travel”, “Wand International Tour”, “Tez Tour” from Moscow, “Calypso” and “Positive” from Vologda, “Pereslavl-Tour” from the Yaroslavl Region, “Big Transtour” from Vladimir, “Versa”, “Lyra Grand”, “Intel-T” from Saint-Petersburg, tour companies from Chekhia, China, Japan and other countries.

In 2008 the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve, which is a visiting card of the Don region, received more than 60 000 guests. Participation in exhibitions is one step more in consolidating its positions at the home and international tour market.
