Sholokhov Museum Presented an Exhibition in Starocherkassk

13.11.2020

On November 12, 2020, the opening of the exhibition "The Fate of a Man is the Fate of the People" from the funds of the National Sholokhov museum-reserve took place in the village of Starocherkasskaya, in the Starocherkassk Historical and Architectural museum-reserve.

2020 marks the 115th anniversary of the birth of Mikhail Sholokhov and the 50th anniversary of the Starocherkassk museum, which was created on the initiative of Mikhail Sholokhov. The museums are linked by long-term friendship. Director of the Starocherkassk Historical and Architectural museum-reserve Andrey Klyandin spoke about this with warmth at the opening of the exhibition. Exhibition projects of the museums have always been received with great interest by residents of the villages of Starocherkasskaya and Vyoshenskaya. Confidence in the further prosperity of our villages and the entire Don region was expressed in the welcoming speech of the Head of the Starocherkassk rural settlement Yevgeny Galitsin. The opening ceremony was attended by the employees of the Starocherkassk museum-reserve, as well as a member of the Union of Artists of Russia Anatoly Kovalev

The tour of the exhibition was met with great attention and resonated in the hearts of visitors.

The exhibition will continue its work in the Starocherkassk Historical and Architectural museum-reserve until March 23, 2021. We invite everyone to visit the exhibition and admire the courage and boundless love for his homeland of Andrei Sokolov, the hero of the immortal work of the front-line writer Mikhail Sholokhov.
