Send Out the Summer Together!

National Sholokhov Museum-Reserve invites you to have fun and usefully spend the last weekend of the summer.

In the stanitsa Vyoshenskaya, two interactive platforms will work for you.

One of them is located in the courtyard of the excursion and exhibition center "People's House" (Podtyolkova st., 66), which offers a picturesque view of the Don River, beloved by the great writer, the sculptural composition "Grigory and Aksinya", which has become a symbol of the entire Rostov region.

Here you can dress up in traditional Cossack costumes and take a memorable photo in a stylized Cossack farm, choose a Don souvenir for yourself and your loved ones, or even make it yourself at traditional master classes. On Saturday, August 29, each visitor can learn the basics of pottery and try to create their own ceramic "masterpiece" or paint wooden spoons with traditional Don or exclusive patterns. On August 30, Sunday, you can learn how to weave traditional wattle fence, which the Cossacks used as fences, and make small pictures of dried steppe flowers.

In the courtyard of the Children's Museum Center, located next to the Old House of Mikhail Sholokhov (st. Sholokhova, 101), there are also many interesting surprises for our visitors. Here, in the Cossack courtyard, you can see how the Cossacks lived, feed poultry, take a break from the heat under the shade of the shed, take pictures in Cossack costumes by the stove in the yard where Cossacks cooked in the summer, or try to chop wood. Both children and adults can learn how to weave wedding flowers here, create drawings on clay tablets, decorate pencils, send a postcard to loved ones
