Medal “Mikhail Sholokhov” - to Museum Employees

On June 23, 2020, in the stanitsa Vyoshenskaya in the “People’s House”, the medal “Mikhail Sholokhov” was awarded, which was established by the Union of Russian Writers in honor of the 115th birthday of Mikhail Alexandrovich Sholokhov.

The medal is awarded not only to writers, but also to editorial teams who are careful about domestic literary traditions, philologists, museum workers, librarians, actors, public figures who have made a significant contribution to the popularization of the creative heritage of the great Russian writer and in defense of the Russian word.

Among the recipients in the stanitsa Vyoshenskaya is the eldest daughter of the writer Svetlana Sholokhova and employees of the National Sholokhov Museum-Reserve: Director Olga Anistratenko, Deputy Development Director Valeriya Sholokhova, the main keeper Nataliya Tishchenko, head of the department "Estate of M.A. Sholokhov" Valentina Sholokhova, Head of the Department of Youth Programs Marina Popova, Senior Researcher Elena Popova.

Also, the medal was awarded to a member of the Union of Writers of Russia, journalist, chairman of the Upper Don Writing Association Grigoriy Rychnev.

The awards were presented by the chairman of the Rostov branch of the Union of Writers of Russia Alexey Beregovoy.
