The Vagazine “The World of Sholokhov” Dedicated to the Writer Anniversary is Published

The next issue of the scientific and educational national magazine “The World of Sholokhov” is dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the great writer and the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The magazine was opened with the article “He has a soldier’s soul ...” by the editor-in-chief Yury Dvoryashin and an interview with Alexander Sholokhov, the grandson of the writer, first deputy chairman of the Committee on Culture of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

The magazine contains sections and headings “Literary criticism”, “Aesthetics and Philosophy”, “Classics of science about Sholokhov”, “Works of young scientists”, “Letters and feedback from readers”, “Archives”, “Museum life”, “Controversy and discussions”, “Reviews and responses” and others.

A selection of photographs on a color sticker tells about the fate of Mikhail Sholokhov. Readers will see Sholokhov, a war correspondent during the Great Patriotic War, the front-line publication “They Fought for Their Country,” a letter from fighters from Berlin dated May 6, 1945.

 The recording of the meeting of Mikhail Mikhailovich Sholokhov, the youngest son of the writer, with the staff of the museum-reserve, which took place on October 19, 2012 was published in the section “Meetings. Conversations. Interview”. Mikhail Mikhailovich reflects on the ideological struggle, on the destruction of morality, shares his pain: “... you will not find a single writer who would be so denigrated, slandered like a father ... Why? Yes, because he wrote the truth ... Oddly enough, the man was almost subjected to repression for this. "

The section “In memoria” is dedicated to the memory of Yuri Bondarev, and his article “Re-reading “And Quiet Flows the Don” is presented on the “Literary Page”. The word of the front-line writer is emotionally and filled with special meaning, each line penetrates the reader’s heart: “The radiance of humanity, freedom, beauty, and truth comes from the “Quiet Don”. Everything here is new: thought and form. Moreover, from all this, calm joy enters the soul; you begin to believe in the power of art.”
