Field Camps of the Upper Don Pre-Military Cossacks
31.07.2019During August 5–8, 2019, summer field camps of the Upper Don pre-military Cossacks will take place at the Farmstead of T.A.Karghin in Stanitsa Karghinskaya the Bokovsky District. For the third time the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov receives on its territory the members of the field camps organized by the military Cossack society “The Great Don Army.”
The future defenders of the Motherland will learn the basics of Cossack martial art, train to act in extreme conditions, will participate in military tactical games, will be tested on the knowledge and skills in life safety and applied physical training.
The workers of the Museum Stables will train the members of the field camps in the basics of horse riding, will inform about the rules of horse management and traditions of Cossack military service.
The young Cossacks will be given tours about the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov, will be shown films on the works by the great writer “The Fate of a Man” and “A Shame Child” in the old cinema “Ideal”.
