Interactive Classes at the Estate of M.A.Sholokhov

10.07.2019

During the summer holidays interactive classes for children are given at the Estate of M.A.Sholokhov.

A class “Visiting Mother-Stove” is held at the exhibition “Outbuilding.Summer Kitchen of the Sholokhovs”, where the children get into the atmosphere of the home life of Sholokhov family, learn about favourite dishes of the family, about their cook Anna Antonovna Dolgova – Nyura, Annushka, as the family affectionately called her, an uncommon, kind and cheerful woman, who lived with the Sholokhovs more than 45 years and was considered a family member.

The children will see a preserved Russian stove, learn about its structure and role in the Cossack house. They will see “the stove’s helpmates”: grip, poker and chapelnik. They will learn the names of the tableware the Sholokhovs used in the kitchen: a hotcharcoal samovar, cast iron pots, makhotka, korchazhka, balsan.

During the class “In the Wildlife” the children will learn about the writer’s fondness of the nature, the hobby of Sholokhov family – hunting and fishing, about the favourite vacation spots of Mikhail Alexandrovich, about the writer’s well-known guests who visited the Don country in different times, about the writer’s friends and acquaintances among the local hunters and fishers. The children can see photos, which were made in different periods of the writer’s life, from the collections of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. And in memory they will receive a postcard which will remind them long about the time spent at the museum.

Proverbs and sayings, riddles and interesting questions will attract even the most active and restless children. Attending the classes the children will learn a lot of new things about M.A.Sholokhov and will have a fun time.

Sign up for the classes by phone: 8 (86353) 21-9-66.
