The Souvenirs of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov are the Best!

The National Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov  has won the prizes in the final regional stage of the All-Russian competition “Tourist Souvenir” which took place on June 1 and 2, 2019, in Tver and Zavidovo during the National Tourist forum “Rivers of Russia”.

The regional stage of the competition was claimed by 436 tourist souvenirs from 31 regions. The final event was joined by 309 souvenirs.

The unique souvenir “Writing set “Young Eagle” symbolizing the work of the great writer M.A.Sholokhov gained the first place in the nomination “Local Souvenir”. This unusual writing set was the result of the joint work of the two last year competitors: LLC “Rostr”, Saransk, and the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve.

In the nomination “Ethnographic Souvenir” in the high price category, Sholokhov Museum takes the first place again. The competition jury appreciated the original souvenir “The Don Whip”, a traditional Cossack whip made of leather.

In the nomination “Museum Souvenir” the second place was taken by “Sholokhov Matryoshki”, a handmade replica of the wooden dolls kept in the Memorial Estate of M.A.Sholokhov. The set symbolizes the Sholokhovs family and renders a spirit of kindness, philanthropy and respect reigning in the family.

The All-Russian final stage of the competition was also entered by a funny statuette of Ded Shchukar which competed in the nomination “Souvenir of the Region”.

All the souvenirs of the Museum-Reserve declared in the four nominations will continue taking part in the final stage of the All-Russian competition “Tourist Souvenir” which will take place in Saratov this summer.
