The XIV National Award “Cultural Heritage”

On May 30, 2019, an awarding ceremony of the XIV National Award “Cultural Heritage” took place in Moscow, in the Main Hall of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. The ceremony was joined by A.M.Sholokhov, Deputy Chairman of the RF State Duma Committee for Culture, President of the ICOM of Russia.

The National Award “Cultural Heritage” was established in 2005, by the National Foundation “Revival of the Russian Manor” under the support of the RF Ministry of Culture. This is the oldest national award of Russia facilitating the identification of the initiatives of private individuals, state, public and private organizations for revival of historical immovable heritage of the Country. The Award received the blessing of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.

For these years the National Award has become an important authoritative event in the cultural life of the country. Within the 14 years the contest was joined by over 120 applications from 60 subjects of the RF and near foreign countries. More than 350 people – representatives of the leading educational, museum, restoration, architectural, public organizations, government agencies for culture and monuments protection, commercial structures and media became laureates and nominees of the Award.

The awarding ceremony of the National Award “Cultural Heritage” traditionally takes place on the days of Cultural Heritage in April–May.
