Literary Meetings in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya

Literary meetings will be one of the pages of the All-Russian literary folklore holiday “Sholokhov Spring”, which will be held on May 25, 2019, in the central library of Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya and in the People’s House of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. Free admission. We welcome everyone.

From 10.00 to 11.00, the central library of Vyoshenskaya will hold a club “Meetings of Vyoshenskaya”, where poets and prose writers of the Rostov, Voronezh and Volgograd regions and the Stavropol Territory will present their work.

At 13.00, in the People’s House of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov, there will be a literary meeting with the members and secretaries of the Union of Russian Writers Oleg Etlukhov and Anatoly Truba.

Oleg Adyl-Gireyevich Etlukhov is a Doctor of Economic Sciences, professor, the author of the epic novels “Call of Blood”, “Footprints in the Sand”, “Stars over Cairo”, “Attraction” and “Moonlight”. In his novels highly appreciated by the literary public, the bygone era is intertwined with the reality of today. The author is thinking about the purport of life, the vicissitudes of the roads taken by man, about the force of the native land attraction, about the value of the language, culture and people’s memory.

Anatoly Sergeyevich Truba is a prose writer, poet, journalist, chief editor of the literary historical journal “Aleksandr”, Doctor of Economic Sciences, professor. He is the author of the books “The History of the Temples of the Pervomaisky District”, “Piety Devotees of the Pervomai Country”, “Reflection of Russia”, a book of poetry “A Simple Hobby”. Anatoly Sergeyevich is engaged in active publishing work, he is a literary editor of the journal “We are Russians”, an initiator and organizer of publishing the literary association books “Pervomaiskaya Lira”.

At the literary meeting O.Etlukhov and A.Truba will tell about the work of the Union of Russian Writers, about their literary work and will answer the questions of the audience.

The meeting will be followed by the program “Sholokhov’s Heroes in Cinema” in the People’s House. The viewers will be shown the feature films “The Quiet Don” (1930) and “When Cossacks Cry”(1963), a documentary “My Dear

and Sweetheart!” by L.Surkova, and other works telling about the life and work of M.A.Sholokhov and the Museum-Reserve.
