A Class “From a Blade of Grass to the Sun” for Rostov Children

On April 17, 2019, the Museum workers of the department “Estate of M.A.Sholokhov” gave an interactive class “From a Blade of Grass to the Sun” for the children of kindergarten “Evrika–Razvitiye” of Rostov-on-Don. The class was joined by 67 boys and girls.

In class, the children learned about the great writer M.A.Sholokhov, his big and friendly family, about his love for nature and his talks about its protection from the highest tribunes, about the Sholokhov country and the Museum-Reserve.

The children saw pictures of the parks and embankment of Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya and Rostov-on-Don, the sights of the Don country, heard a story of the River Don and the famous Giant Oak, shared their knowledge of cooking fish soup in the Don region, then they played games, solved riddles and identified tree species by their leaves.

In memory of the class the children were given leaves of the Giant Oak brought by the museum workers from the homeland of Sholokhov.
